Fed up of having the same old Breakfast everyday!? Wells here's a famous south Indian dish with a little bit of my touch. I am sure you will enjoy eating it with your friends and family on the perfect Sunday Morning.
INGREDIENTS:
1) Broken or Whole rice (white)(3 cups)
2) Urad Dal (1/2 cup)
3) Chana Dal (1/4 cup)
4) Methi seeds (1 tsp)
5) Tomatoes
6) Onions
7) Coriander
8) Salt
PROCEDURE:
(Pre-Preparation)
1) In the Morning, Add Broken rice, Urad dal, Chana Dal, and Methi Seeds into a Bowl and add water until the level of water is just above all the ingredients. Soak it Till the Night.
2) In the Night, drain all the water and add the Contents in the Mixer and Grind adding a little water until you get a smooth white batter. Empty it into and container and cover it with a lid. Keep the batter overnight.
(Actual Cooking)
1) In the morning the next day mix the batter well add a little salt. There will be a separate layer of water on top of the batter in the morning, don't panic just mix it well.
2) Chop Tomatoes, Onions and a little Coriander Roughly, make sure you discard the Coriander stalks away.
3) Grease a Dosa Tawa or any thick base pan and place it on medium to low flame.
4) Pour adequate amount of batter onto the pan or tawa until you get a nice circle.
5) Immedietly add Chopped Tomatoes, onions and coriander onto it.
6) Place a lid on the tawa and let it cook on low flame for about 5 minutes.
(Keep checking whether it is done by piercing it with a toothpick, if the toothpick comes out clean that means it is ready to be flipped)
7) Flip it and cook for about 2 mins and finally garnish with some chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot along with some Sambhar or Chutney.
